  • Type :  One To One
  • Summary :  Personalized online science tuition for class 10. Online science tutors cover the entire syllabus of the school curriculum.

Course Description :

The Grade 10 science curriculum tells us why we need to have formulas for chemical compounds, or have chemical equations and balance them? Why do we classify reactions into combination, displacement, neutralization, oxidation or reduction reactions? Why is it important to know how compounds are formed and how groups of similar compounds react with other substances? This year also brings in Carbon, its compounds, the types of bonds found in carbon compounds, nomenclature of carbon compounds and functional groups. The various attempts of grading and categorizing the Periodic Table using properties of the different elements like valency, atomic number, metallic and non-metallic aspects are taught to make students understand the gruelling process of classifying elements.

The various systems in living things that control the life mechanisms like hormones, nerves, chemical coordination and the science behind reproduction, heredity and evolution are essential areas of learning for students looking for a future in science.

A detailed study of lenses, mirrors, both concave and convex, reflection, refraction and their laws, refractive index, magnification, human eye and its defects of visions , their corrections, dispersion and scattering of light, resistance in an electric circuit, heating effect of current, the relation between power, voltage, current and resistance, magnetic effect of current, direct and alternating current, conventional and non-conventional sources of energy, renewable and non-renewable sources, their conservation and management, the problems our environment faces, causes, effects and solutions is done to familiarize students so they may have avenues to choose from, for their careers.

Methodology in CBSE Class 10 Science Tuition

This is a crucial year because it helps the students to decide what line of study they wish to take up in Grades 11 & 12, which eventually lead up to career choices. Edugraff Teachers guide students about the choices they can make and select the subjects after weighing their interest and potential. To achieve this, a manner of teaching that arouses interest and a will to learn more, is adopted. The focus is also on the target to score well in the examinations held by CBSE at the end of the year. Classes 9 and 10 have a thorough and comprehensive revision plan culminating in the Board Exams.
