About me:
I am an engineer turned professional Mathematics online educator. I specialize in SAT (I) Maths tutoring. I teach and I create content (lessons, videos, quizzes, etc). Personally I take interest in magic. I also like to solve problems in Physics.

Academic qualifications:
I am an engineer (B.E.) from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India with a post graduation in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. The latter is known to be among the best institutes in Asia.

Experience and background:
I have been teaching Mathematics online for the SAT (I) since 2008. Till date I have completed more than 3,000 hours of live SAT Maths tutoring sessions. For the SAT, as time is at a premium, I not only strive to teach my students how to get to the right answer but also how to get there in the shortest possible time. My Maths video had won a word of appreciation from the Khan Academy (official partner of the College Board that administers the SAT).


Teaching Methodology:
When a student enrolls for my SAT Maths course (which is usually around 40 hours of live interaction), we start by going over a set of about 150 problems. This stage takes up about the first 15 hours of the course. These problems test the various concepts related to SAT Maths. By the time we reach the end of this set of problems, the student has gained the knowledge needed to solve any SAT Maths problem.

The next stage is to practice which is done from the SAT Official Guide book. Tests conducted are from the same book.

Throughout the course, I push my students to think harded as to how to find the right answer in the shortest possible time. Note that not all SAT Maths problems have a short-cut or trick. I want to make sure my students do not miss out on the ones that do
